Rachel A. Gorenflo is board certified in marital and family law. Her experience includes work in all facets of family law with extensive participation in complex family law litigation. Because Rachel is a Certified Public Accountant as well as a practicing member of the Florida Bar, she is able to bring a special and multi-disciplinary perspective to both litigation and mediation matters. Rachel is also a certified family law mediator.
Rachel graduated from Stetson University, College of Law in 1994. In addition to a very active law practice, she has been very active in the legal community. She was a representative for the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit on the Young Lawyer Board of Governors from June 2004 – June 2006. She was the Chairperson of the Family Law Section of the Seminole County Bar Association for 1999, served as Treasurer of the Seminole County Bar Association in 2000, Secretary in 1999, President-Elect in 2001 and President in 2002. She has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Seminole County Bar Association and on the Liaison Committee of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar in 1998 and 1999. Rachel is currently a member of the Central Florida Family Law American Inn of Court, the Volie A. Williams, Jr., American Inn of Court, The Seminole County, Orange County and Brevard County Bar Associations. Rachel is also listed as a Super Lawyer in the Florida Super Lawyers 2008 and 2009 publications.
Rachel is admitted to practice is all Florida State Circuit and County Courts, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Clifton H. Gorenflo has lived the majority of his life in Central Florida. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1993. Thereafter, he worked as a staff attorney and later senior staff attorney, at the Eighteenth Judicial Circuit Court, in and for Seminole County Florida. Since November 1998, Clif has focused his practice in the areas of family law, civil and commercial litigation, real estate litigation and appellate law. His background provides him with the unique ability to understand much of the reasoning behind judicial decision making. His experience and knowledge have proven to be major assets to our firm.
Since his graduation from law school, Clif has been very active in the legal community. He has served as a governor on the Board of Governors of the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar from 1997 to 2004. He served on the News Editorial Board of the Florida Bar Journal from 1995 through 1998. He also served as a director of the Seminole County Bar Association from 1999 through 2002. He is currently an active member of the Seminole County Bar Association, Volusia County Bar Association and Volie Williams Inns of Court. Clif is also a Certified Civil Mediator and Appellate Mediator.
Michael E. Gray (1948 - 2008)
Michael was one of the founding shareholders of the law firm of Gray & Gorenflo, P.A. Born in Decatur, Alabama on May 21, 1948, he was a lifelong resident of Central Florida. Mike was well known for his ability to play football, most notably with Florida State University prior to his graduation in 1971. Mike thereafter joined the military where he served his country. Upon completion, he went on to Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where he graduated in 1979.
As a lawyer, Mike was always known for his professionalism and competence, having received an AV rating from Martindale Hubble for his legal abilities. During the majority of his legal career, he practiced exclusively in the area of family law. He believed in the process of mediation and collaborative law in an effort to resolve disputes without acrimony or unnecessary litigation.
Mike passed away after a battle with brain cancer. His legacy exists in his reputation and in the name of this firm, which he worked so hard to maintain and treated as an extended part of his family. He will be truly missed.
